We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, what do you attribute your success to?
My support from family and community really help me push to keep going and build my empire. I think hard work and determination along with a good support system is all it takes to be successful.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I run a family owned Filipino restaurant and bakery. Currently out of a ghost kitchen with hopes of moving into a full service restaurant in 2023. Prior to opening my ghost kitchen in September 2021. I was an area director for a bakery so I have a strong restaurant background both pastry and full service I have been in the restaurant business 17 years . Let me tell you it has been a long road coming to get to opening my own restaurant but I believe it has all been worth the wait and effort. I am most proud of my support system that has helped me to get to where I am today. My mother, daughter, husband, and uncle are huge factors in my current success. I have been in restaurant management for most of my career and when I decided it was finally time to move on to my own restaurant my family was right behind me every step of the way. Learning how to control cost, build marketing plans, and customer retainment. We serve Filipino Fusion food, and sweets. Our most popular item is the Ube Cheesecake and Lumpia Shanghai. All made from scratch and as my daughter would say all made with love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For my favorite food places I would definitely say Chinatown! For breakfast we would stop at King’s Bakery for fresh made Pork Sung Bread, Then head over to Star Snow Ice for some fresh squeezed carrot juice or any fresh fruit boba you like. Banana Leaf is my go to dinner spot for delicious Malaysian eats. If crawfish I would say boiling 88 they have the best in town in my opinion. For fun places to go I really enjoy the railway heights. Lots of great small business vendors in and out of there for markets and actual stationed stalls.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother, uncle, husband, and daughter are my biggest fans. They are with me every step of the way. Helping with new ideas, events, and partnerships.
