Hi Denita and Whitne, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is that if I don’t believe in me first, I can’t expect others to believe.

What should our readers know about your business?
Boogie’s Boilin and Dip Whit Me Sauce is set apart from many small business mobile food platforms! Our goal is to continue to produce amazingly mouth watering, comeback for more high quality food and sauce. We take pride in our customers efforts, so to match that we operate in prestine integrity reassuring them that they are appreciated and valued! Building our brand definitely wasn’t easy! We had to overcome naysayers and lack of support from those we supported in the past. Alot of our growth was trial and error with little to no guidance from others in the business. To overcome those challenges we were adamant about making space for new faces and putting ourselves in places to serve new faces. That work alone, has proven to be one of our most successful business moves. We are where we are today because of hard word, dedication, commitment and our promise to never quit! We want the world to know that when you book Boogie’s Boilin to cater your next event you won’t be disappointed. If you order any heat level of our Dip Whit Me Sauce you will be hooked. We can’t wait to satisfy the tastebuds of more seafood lovers. We definitely look forward to maximizing the taste value of dishes topped with our homemade sauce. We are most excited about our efforts to get the Dip Whit Me Sauce on shelves in grocery stores locally and nationwide!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was new to Houston we would definitely make reservations for patio seating at Lost and Found for some great southern style comfort food. We would indulge in their drink menu and seal it with an appealing dessert! We would go to 2020 Leeland to Culture HTX for Thursday Night Live R&B night. If we are lucky and it’s the first Monday of month we would patronize First Monday as well with some of the greatest vocalist Houston has! We would take the NASA tour and make plans to rent the Houston Party Boat for a party on the water! By Sunday we would host an at home boil catered by our business Boogie’s Boilin to ensure that the seafood is top notch and full of flavor with that nostalgic feel of being back in New Orleans! Houston has so much to offer we would need more than a week to scratch the surface. However, this plan is my picks for creme de le creme!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m so glad you said group because there is certainly more than one person I would be honored to thank. First I’m grateful to pay homage to Jesus Christ for allowing me this blessing! Secondly, I’m honored to thank my mother, Denise Gatlin! Her display of resilience, strength and independence was the absolute best formula given to me! Third, my beautiful Fiancé and Business Partner Whitne Dilliehunt. She came into my life and has been one of the most prominent “pushers” ever. She saw the vision for the brand. She believed we could do it and she supports every aspect of the brand. Last but definitely not least I’m so grateful for every customer that has used their hard earned money to support and build Boogie’s Boilin and our Dip Whit Me sauce.
