We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan & Maranda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dylan & Maranda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since we started dating 3 years ago, we always loved trying new types of food/restaurants on date night. Both of us love all types of different food, and we enjoy experiencing food from all types of cultures. Maranda always loved taking photos of the food we ate, and one day we decided to make use of those pictures she took and share them with other people. We then decided to create our own Instagram account @eatwithushouston with the sole purpose to share with others the amazing food we try around the greater Houston area.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing that sets us apart from other foodie accounts is that we are a couple working together onWe work as a team to create new food posts 3 times a week. Our weekends are dedicated to exploring new places to eat and is where we get the majority of our content done. We love collaborating with new restaurants and promoting their businesses on our page

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We have several spots that we love going to. Everything we feature on our Instagram are all wonderful places we would recommend. If we would have to choose our favorites we would recommend Egghaus, Pho Barr, Nash Up Chick, Two Hands, and Bonfire Wings. Egghaus is a super cute Instagramable brunch spot with amazing croissants and sandwiches. Pho Barr is a Vietnamese restaurant that serves your favorite Vietnamese dishes and drinks and is our go-to Vietnamese restaurant. Nash Up Chick is a 100% halal hot chicken restaurant with the best and juiciest hot chicken in Houston. Two Hands is a Korean corn dog shop that sells multiple types of corn dogs we can’t get enough of. Bonfire Wings is a delicious Cajun restaurant specializing in wings with other cajun favorites.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Someone who deserves all of the credit for our amazing experiences in our foodie journey so far is Jesus. Without God none of this would be possible on our own. We have been able to experience so many new and awesome opportunities and meet new people who love food as much as we do. He has blessed us with an amazing support system. We are so thankful for what God has done and will continue to do for us.
