Im from South Texas and a family that had what you would call in Spanish a “Curandera” or a healer and Tarot reader as our matriarch. This definitely influenced my path as a spiritual worker, tarot reader as well as self proclaiming myself a “Bruja”. I was often derogatorily called Witch by people until one day I decided to take the word back and give it the meaning, power and respect it deserved. Brujas are and have been the healers of communities for centuries but only because of European views on the word witch do we see them as these ugly, haggard, evil woman. I started Ragged Birds Music as a publishing company when I started producing my own music. Technically, it still is, since I use the name as the publisher name for any music I put out.
