We had the good fortune of connecting with ADEDOYIN ‘Dee’ ONITIRI and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ADEDOYIN ‘Dee’, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My name is Adedoyin “Dee” Onitiri, Creative Director of Mightymac Fashion. The brand was founded from a deeply personal place and is inspired by my late mother. Growing up, I was influenced by her sense of style, creativity, and deep appreciation for well-made garments, which left a lasting impression on me. She was an award-winning fashion designer in Nigeria who believed that clothing is a reflection of confidence and dignity, and that belief continues to guide my work today.

Mightymac Fashion is rooted in craftsmanship, individuality, and elevated style, with inspiration drawn from a strong heritage of fashion excellence from Nigeria. Now operating in Texas with a growing presence in New Jersey and New York, the brand is built on the belief that clothing should be tailored to fit and styled to stand out. Every piece is designed to empower clients to feel confident, refined, and effortlessly expressive.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Mightymac Fashion is defined by clean silhouettes, expert fit, and refined detail.

The brand specializes in bespoke tailoring, professional alterations, and custom sweatshirts, offering both everyday essentials and statement pieces. African-inspired fabrics and prints are thoughtfully incorporated into select designs, creating a distinctive fusion of cultural influence and contemporary fashion.

Every garment is handcrafted and hand-finished, with close attention to structure, proportion, and fabric quality. From made-to-measure dresses and prom gowns to luxury alterations and customized hoodies, Mightymac ensures that each piece is both wearable and elevated.

What makes the brand unique is its ability to serve multiple style needs—luxury garments, everyday tailoring, and modern customwear—without compromising craftsmanship or aesthetic integrity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d give them a Houston experience that blends culture, food, style, and energy—effortlessly cool, never rushed.

We’d start with flavor. A must-stop is Famous Princess Kitchen and Eko Bistro restaurant for bold, authentic African cuisine—comforting, vibrant, unforgettable. Another day, we’d explore global bites around The Galleria, mixing shopping with cocktails and people-watching.

For culture and inspiration, we’d spend afternoons at Museum District, then unwind at Hermann Park. Evenings would mean rooftop views and live music—Houston does nightlife with soul.

We’d hang out in Montrose for art, vintage finds, and creative energy, then head to Midtown for late nights and good vibes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give this shoutout to my late mother, whose strength, creativity, and legacy continue to inspire everything I do. I’m also deeply grateful to my family for their constant love, support, and belief in my journey.

And most importantly, thank you to my customers—your trust, encouragement, and loyalty make this work meaningful. None of this would be possible without you.
