Meet Alejandra Villarreal

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Villarreal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alejandra, how does your business help the community?
I believe that my business helps the community by providing a safe space where clients can feel cared for and confident. The nail industry hasn’t always received the recognition it deserves, but it makes a huge difference in how we carry ourselves every day. I also use my platform to help others grow. Having a large following has helped newer (never smaller) businesses and I always remind myself that ‘the sun shines for everyone.’ This mentality has not only helped keep loyal clients, but has also kept me grounded and humbled throughout my journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is the dedication I put into my services. I specialize in structured gel and hand-painted designs, but all nail techs know the real work of art in nail prep. My clients appreciate my cuticle work, as well as clean and precise polishing techniques. It’s not just about doing nails, it’s about building relationships with my clients through trust, quality, and artistry.
Professionally, my cosmetology license gave me a foundation, but practice and ongoing education built the career I have today. As a former teacher, we are taught to never stop learning and this applies to every occupation.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth and success does not happen overnight. It takes time, consistency, and authenticity.
My story is proof that surrounding yourself with the right people and maintaining persistence, you can turn your passion into a full-time career.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have learned to love and appreciate Baytown! If my best friend wanted to have a good time I would take her to the following places:
Some of my favorite restaurants include JLB Eatery; huge and tasty burgers. Antonio’s have delicious Italian food. AR’s Entertainment Hub has bowling, laser-tag, and roller-skating! If we went to Houston, I would take my best friend to the Japanese Gardens, and then to Pour Behavior to enjoy mimosas. If she hasn’t been to The Post, we would go there next. The view of downtown in amazing and there is always something exciting happening here. For a brunch date, we would go to Rosalie on Bagby and Dallas St. Everything here is delicious! If she wanted a wine-tasting experience, I would take her to Sixty Vines! The cutest restaurant with amazing wine.
Other activities include an Astro’s game, Holey Moley and the Puttshack! Lastly, Preslee’s has some of the most amazing food I’ve recently has, so I would take her there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a huge shoutout to my parents and brothers for always supporting me and understanding that this was more than just a hobby. To my husband, thank you for giving me the opportunity and encouragement to pursue this dream full-time. And to my incredible clients and supporters, I am endlessly grateful for your trust and loyalty. I have enjoyed building relationships with you along the way and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
I also want to give credit to my cousins; from sharing tips and tricks with me to helping me create my Instagram page. I wouldn’t have had the courage to start without your love and motivation. Thank you all for always being kind to me and my business, I love you so much!
