We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Antoine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success at Complete Houston is our authenticity and our team’s commitment to excellence and collective attitude. Our motto at Complete is literally “Be Awesome” and we strive to bring that to every event that we are a part of whether that is being a photographer or videographer capturing the couples’ story, or even just working a photo booth ensuring every guest is having an amazing time. Especially now, as the event industry is starting to get back into full swing, we think it is more important than ever to provide guests that incredible experience that only happens at large events like weddings that makes everyone forget about the rest of their problems, if only for one night. We embrace our “Be Awesome” motto fully with every event that we do.
What should our readers know about your business?
At Complete Houston, we provide amazing Photography, Videography, DJ, Photo Booth, Lighting, and Coordination services in the Houston area. Our ability to offer multiple services all under one roof is one of the main things that separates us from everyone else. I can personally say through planning my wife and I’s wedding, that using Complete for all of the services we offer was the best decision and easiest part of the entire planning process. It was already stressful enough to plan every other aspect and juggling the communication, payments, and other planning aspects through multiple other vendors. The fact that we could take care of so many HUGE aspects of the wedding day in one place was amazing. That is something that I am extremely proud to say, that I trust our company enough to use them for our own wedding.
Complete is where we are today because of perseverance and believing in what we do. I became the owner of Complete Houston basically at the exact start of the Covid pandemic. I often joke with my friends that I started an event company at probably the worst time in modern human history. I stuck with it and slowly have built an amazing team that also believes in what we do at Complete. They are the real faces of the company, representing us at every event and providing the amazing service that we are so proud of.
I’ve learned that nothing will ever go as planned and you just have to go with the flow throughout this past year and a half as an owner. Thankfully, that is something that we have plenty of experience in within the event industry. We want the world to know that even though we seem like a larger company, we understand that this is the biggest day of our clients’ lives. We strive to provide a memorable experience that fits the occasion, no matter how we are involved in an event.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live over in West Houston so most of my favorite spots in the city would be over in that area. In terms of food, Whiskey Cake is one of the best places to get lunch and especially brunch. My wife and I also really enjoy Lomonte’s or Lasagna House for Italian because we both just love pasta. Seismique is one of the most unique places in Houston and really the kind of place where it is easier to go than for me to explain it. It’s worth the trip. I also love the parks around Houston. There is plenty of nature if you seek it out and as long as the weather isn’t crazy, it’s full of gorgeous places.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to my incredible wife Kerith! She is the reason I came to Houston and has been by my side constantly through the terrifying decision to become a small business owner. She is the motivation to be successful to provide for her. She deserves so much recognition because I would not be where I am at all if it wasn’t for her help through every problem, no matter how large or small.
