Meet Alex Underwood | Videographer & Freelance Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Underwood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, why did you pursue a creative career?

I chose an artistic and creative career because it allows me to express myself freely and connect with people on a deeper level. Creativity fuels my passion and gives me the freedom to explore new ideas, challenge conventions, and inspire others through my work. It’s a fulfilling path that constantly stimulates my imagination and pushes me to grow both personally and professionally. I also allowed me to be my own boss and create my own business, “UrbanPaparazzi Motion Films”.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’ve reached where I am today as a videographer and photographer through passion, perseverance, and continuous learning. It hasn’t been an easy journey; there were numerous challenges along the way, from learning new techniques to navigating the competitive industry. I am still learning and evolving.

To overcome these challenges, I stayed resilient, self taught myself and embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Each obstacle taught me valuable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to my vision/brand.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am deeply committed to capturing moments that tell compelling stories. My work is a reflection of my creativity, dedication, and love for visual storytelling. I strive to create content that resonates with people, evokes emotions, and leaves a lasting impact.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Personally, I love to eat and try new foods. I don’t really have any favorite restaurants because I love all good food. I like lounges, shopping and site seeing. Depending on who’s visiting, determines where we go. I’m still new to Houston, TX and I’m still learning about new things and places to explore. My go to would be the beach or anything outdoors.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I would like shout-out our creator, my family, and clients. Thank you to those who never doubted my ability to become who I am today. Thank you to the ones for putting me in places to grow and those who speak highly of me in rooms I am not present in. Also, a big shoutout to myself for not giving up.
