We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela C and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to know how much they were asking off of me if they were able to pay me 20 a hour, I also didn’t like the thought of someone else being in so much control over my finances.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am in the business of fashion is what sets me aside from other because I don’t want to be put in a box of what I do in fashion, some people like to make ball gowns other like to play with color ways, me, I love it all .I started off printing ,pressing and embroidering merchandise for other business then I started to purchase wholesale products to resale on my online store. but doing B2B as a solopuner it because a hassle and not really making enough, buying for my online store makes more money, however, mostly all of the other online clothing stores have the same products. So I decided to go to school for fashions Design, currently I have an AAS in fashion design as well as fashions merchandising
this way I can start a garment from start to with with embroidery or any printing that I may desire.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
honestly, I don’t do much hanging out and my friends and I get together and have small sewing parties, maybe go to a few fabric stores… with wine I am most excited when I am creating something high fashion fabrics would most differently be a place Texas Art Supply and any place with an outside patio with a margarita
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My son has always motivated me to go harder and do better it the only thing that keeps me going forward.
