Meet Arleshia Murphy | Creative Owner of Krave Your Chocolates

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arleshia Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arleshia, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite affirmation is: “To Be the Best Version of Myself.” I love this affirmation because I want to better myself and improve in the areas where needed. I try to live authentically, be true to myself, my values and everything I stand for. I try not to compare myself to others because everyone’s path is different. As a result, I choose to see everything that has happened to me is a step forward to something greater. I know that everything plays a role in crafting me to be this wonderful and amazing person that I am meant to be!!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Krave Your Chocolates specialize in homemade sweet treats for any occasion that will satisfy your crave. Our top sellers are the Pecan Pralines, German Chocolate Cake and our Thumbs Up 7-Up Cake. What sets me apart from others is that my business is mobile, I specialize in milk, dark and white chocolates. I got to where I am today because of my love for what I do, people believing in me, I rebranded my logo, worked at different vendor events and I had a few sponsors who sponsored me in the beginning. No, it was definitely not easy, I still don’t have my website completed yet but it’s top priority for me at this time, but I love what I do so that’s my motivation to keep me pressing forward and giving it my all. I overcome my challenges by staying consistent and making treats that people can enjoy. The lessons I have learned along the way is to embrace the unknown, being open-minded to trying new products that are out of my comfort zone and to find my passion and to be empowered by my purpose. I want the world to know that baking is a symphony of flavors, crafted with love and precision. Krave Your Chocolates love “baking” people happy. Remember “life is always sweeter with Krave Your Chocolates.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s just say if a friend was in town for the weekend or even a week, we would definitely go to happy hour. I have a love for wine so we would check out a winery, go to dinner and do something fun depending on the mood and what we want to do at that time. Let’s not forget if my bestie is in the mood for something sweet, I definitely will have something sweet from Krave Your Chocolates on hand, (smile)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my family for believing in me even when I struggled with believing in myself at times. My mom deserves this recognition because she is the main reason how I started Krave Your Chocolates. As you may not know, I started my business a few years ago when my mom took sick unexpectedly. As a result, I was her caretaker and this is how I started my small business right in the heart of her kitchen running up her electricity bill baking with love…Lol… Thanks mom for everything!!
