Meet Ashley Marquez | Lash tech / Aesthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Marquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
It was hard in the beginning to be a full time lash tech and a full time parent/wife. I’m thankful to have my family support into what I love doing. I work late afternoons for my clients and be up every morning for my kids. It can be exhausting sometimes but now it’s a routine . When you found your dream job you make it a priority and balance in your life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I never really thought I was a good artist. Growing up I never liked art or was good at it. Becoming a lash tech was a HUGE eye opener. I realize set are my art and I’m so proud of it. It’s always practicing, studying it, I do am planing on taking more classes to better my education. I make sure each client is satisfied with there services.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Omg yes come to H-town! We have a lot of nice places here. Me and my family go everywhere in our city. I know more kid friendly places since 99% of the time they’re with me. We do love to be outside. We go to waterpark , parks, restaurants, beaches that’s (kid friendly).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family!
I was raise with strong , hard working , loving parents. I learned from them which I’m so thankful for. My husband and my kids are my supporters they always believed in me which I am thankful for. I’m a big sister so I know I need to be a good role model to my little sister.
