We had the good fortune of connecting with Asia G. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Asia, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about my industry that most outsiders probably don’t realize is how much success depends on building real, genuine connections with people. It’s not just about selling a product or service, it’s about showing up as your authentic self and creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Here’s the truth: people like to do business with who they trust, and trust comes from being relatable and consistent. Whether I’m connecting with someone who’s just starting out or someone who’s been in the game for years, the ability to truly meet people where they are has been the biggest driver of growth for me. When people feel comfortable and understood, they’re more likely to engage, collaborate, and spread the word about your business. It’s not just good for business—it’s good for the soul.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My artistic approach to business is all about blending creativity, authenticity, and connection. I believe in meeting people where they are—whether they’re new to what I offer or they’ve been following along for years—and crafting an experience that feels personal and meaningful. What sets me apart is my ability to make every interaction feel like a real conversation. I focus on building trust and making sure people feel seen and heard, whether they’re seeking a service, asking a question, or just stopping by to learn more. My goal is to leave people feeling better and more inspired after every encounter, and that mindset drives everything I do.
I’m incredibly proud of how my business has grown—not just in numbers, but in how it’s built a community. Seeing how what I offer has genuinely impacted lives keeps me excited to show up every day. But it hasn’t been easy. Getting to this point took resilience and a lot of listening. There were moments where I felt stuck or overwhelmed, but I leaned on my family, trusted my instincts, and paid close attention to the feedback from clients. Each challenge taught me to be flexible and open, whether it was pivoting an idea or learning to trust that slow growth is still progress.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that authenticity is key. People gravitate toward honesty, and when you show up as your whole self—imperfections and all—you create space for others to connect with you. What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on those connections. I’m not just here to sell a product or service—I’m here to offer something of value, to be a resource, and to make people’s lives just a little easier or brighter. My story is about turning passion into purpose, and I’m grateful every day for the chance to do what I love while connecting with incredible people along the way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1: Welcome to Houston
Start with brunch at Quotes Willowbrook. Their cozy atmosphere and amazing dishes are perfect for kicking off the trip.Afternoon then head over to FoxFire Candles in Vintage Park to make your own candles. It’s a relaxing and creative activity to ease into the week. Enjoy dinner at POST Houston. The food hall has something for everyone, and the rooftop garden offers stunning views of the city. If the timing works, catch a live show at 713 Music Hall to end the day with a bang.
Day 2: Exploring Downtown Houston
Rent electric scooters and cruise around downtown Houston. It’s a fun way to explore the city’s iconic spots like Discovery Green and Buffalo Bayou Park, then visit The Museum District, with must-sees like the Museum of Fine Arts Houston or the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Wrap up the day with drinks at FAO, a trendy spot with great cocktails and a laid-back vibe.
Day 3: Sports and Entertainment
Catch a game! Depending on the season, cheer for the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center or the Astros at Minute Maid Park. Both venues are super nice and it’s always fun connecting with Houston fans at the games. After the game, head to R&B Game Night at Neighbors, TX for fun games, good music, and a vibe you won’t want to miss.
Day 4: Chill and Creative Vibes
Dive into Houston’s street art and graffiti scene with a tour around EaDo (East Downtown). The murals are Instagram-worthy and packed with color and culture. Enjoy live music at White Oak Music Hall, where the lineup always has something exciting. The outdoor stage is a vibe when the weather’s nice.
Day 5: Galveston Beach Day
Head down to Galveston for a day by the water. Rent some chairs, relax on the beach, and breathe in that salty Gulf air. Grab fresh seafood at The Spot, a classic beachside eatery. Walk along the Seawall or explore The Strand Historic District, to do a little shopping. Enjoy dinner with coastal vibes at Gaido’s Seafood Restaurant before heading back to Houston.
Day 6: Foodie Adventure
Check out other cool spots like Chitalian Pizzeria, Lupe Tortilla, Taste Bar, The Breakfast Klub, or Axelrad Beer Garden for good drinks, live music, and chill vibes.
Day 7: Farewell Fun
Brunch one last time at Quotes Willowbrook, because why not start and end the trip with a favorite? Then do some shopping at The Woodlands Mall, and have dinner at Benihanas for some great hibachi.
This Itinerary combines Houston’s buzzing energy with moments of creativity and relaxation. From the unique candle-making experience to live music, sports, and a beach day, it’s the perfect balance for anyone visiting this vibrant city. Houston’s diversity and culture really shine through in the food, the people, and the places. That’s why I love showing it off to anyone visiting!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my father—He recently died on December 9th, 2024, and he was so proud of me for starting the business. I hope to honor his memory by creating a legacy that impacts lives in a positive way like my dad. He will truly be missed. It’s been a long journey, and the encouragement from my parents has been my anchor every step of the way. They’ve been my cheerleaders, my sounding board, and my constant source of motivation. Without their love and support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
I also have to give credit to my incredible clients and followers from social media. They have been the real MVPs, showing support by using my services, spreading the word through referrals, and giving me honest, thoughtful feedback on how to grow. When they’ve shared what services they felt would truly add value to their lives, it helped me focus on creating something meaningful. Their trust and loyalty have been a game-changer, and I can’t thank them enough!
