We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Miles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, why did you pursue a creative career?
Well first, thank you so much for the opportunity to share my story! I’m grateful for your interest and for giving me the platform to do so, I’m just a kid from Coatesville, PA at the end of the day. It means a lot to me that you took the time to listen and highlight my experiences. I’m excited to see how it resonates with your readers!

I didn’t initially pursue an artistic creative career—honestly, it feels like it pursued me. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a gym teacher and a professional basketball player. While I respected the art of acting and modeling, I never imagined I’d find myself in this world. Yet, by the grace of God, here I am, embracing this path that chose me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t try to ‘stand out’ by forcing myself to be different; I believe no one can do me better than I can. So, I stay true to myself and put in my best effort. I also believe the Lord’s favor and kindness are keys that set me apart. Kindness is essential—it’s something we should all show and spread because it has the power to impact others in meaningful ways.

Athletics was my first passion; I spent my life training to take basketball to the professional level. But when I was diagnosed with Osgood Schlatter’s disease, my performance suffered, and eventually, my love for the game waned. Only two weeks after stepping away from sports, I got an unexpected modeling opportunity. I decided to give it a try and quickly grew to love it. A year and a half later, I connected with my manager, Daryl Washington of Global Management 101, who introduced me to the professional world of modeling. Although I didn’t fit the typical ‘supermodel’ mold, he saw my potential and asked if I’d ever thought about acting. I gave it a shot with a monologue, and it turned out I had a natural talent for it. Soon after, I signed with my first acting agency, and the rest is history.

The path hasn’t been easy—it’s been filled with highs and lows, but I’ve come to appreciate every part of the journey. No flower blooms without the appreciation of rain, and fulfilling your God-given purpose isn’t always smooth. But as long as you trust in what God is doing, He’ll guide you through. Every test turns into a testimony when you have faith.

What I want the world to know is, if I can do it, you can too. Everyone has a purpose! Let God lead you, and you’ll find yourself exactly where you’re meant to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friends and I are chill; honestly, we could have a great time doing nothing at all. But for a week-long trip, I’d line up some things we’d love. We’d hit a few basketball runs, rent out a studio for a night to mess around with some tracks, and spend a day out fishing or thrifting for some of those rare finds. Most nights, though, we’d keep it simple at the house.

We’d throw down in the kitchen a few times, everyone cheffing up their best dishes to see who really has skills. When we’re not cooking, we’d order in some wings, Chinese, or Hispanic food—whatever the mood calls for. We’re not too picky, eating is a hobby for us.

We don’t need anything fancy to have a good time. As long as we’re together, laughing, roasting each other, and just vibing, it’s always a good time. Those are my kinfolk, and any time spent with them is memories and great fellowship!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my family, the Miles household. I couldn’t feel more blessed to be born into a family of excellence. Each day, I’m inspired by someone just down the hall. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without the foundation they gave me—their support, guidance, and unwavering love. Not only my parents but also my siblings have been incredible influences. From our humble beginnings on Oak Street to attending award ceremonies and pursuing advanced degrees, each of us carries the evidence of God’s goodness. Blessed is an understatement, God is amazing!

I’d also like to shout out my management team, Daryl Washington (Global Management 101) and Victoria Lyandres (Creative Talent Management), who believed in me long before I realized acting could be part of my life. I thank them every chance I get for their support and faith in me. I feel as if we haven’t even scratched the surface of all we will achieve together. I look forward to continuing to win with them on my team!
