Meet Bria Landry | Director, Producer & Business Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Landry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I would say I’ve always been a very adventurous person so risk has never really scared me much. I’ve had some of the most fun amazing times in my life taking risks. You always hear the greatest of the risk the greater the reward and I would agree and like to go a step further And say there is almost no reward without taking a risk.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I was first a creator. Growing up in the 90s I found a love for the stage. This was a police where I could express myself, and it was seen as entertainment. It was an escape that also allowed me to live in the present. I could challenge myself, work as a team to put together something amazing. I can’t tell you how many productions I’ve been in in my life. There’s no possible way to count.
Everything sucked on the first day of rehearsal for every production, but we all knew that if we took something home to work on every single week that we would get better and by show day we would make each other proud.
Entertainment was a place where we celebrated each other‘s differences and used these unique gifts to make powerful creations. Everyone strength balanced out the others weaknesses. Teamwork was crucial. Being there for one another was not even a hesitation.
Life’s journey took me in a different path and I spent a little over a decade in medicine. Working in ambulances, the ICU, cardiac floors and labor and delivery units were an everyday thing for me. Any wrong move could be life or death, but leaning into your intuition and your team would more times than not give you the best outcome in every situation. I discovered I could be great at many things beyond the stage, and I found a deeper meaning to healing others.
Through all this time I still created, but not as much. God let me back to the arts and entertainment in 2017 when I stepped out on faith during one of the hardest times of my life, going through a divorce and essentially homeless with three kids, I started Off The Wall Theatre. It would be a safe place for kids from all backgrounds to gather learn and grow together. I want to be to others, with my theater teachers and mentors were to me. Little did I know, this class of about 13 at a small community center in Hockley,Texas would be the start of a global media and entertainment empire.
At that time, I had the faith of a mustard seed, but things just continue to align in our favor. We began producing shows! We started performing at festivals and in paid commercials. Things took off sometimes going faster than we could keep up with.
In 2023 my partner and I woke up to our apartment on fire. We were able to jump over the fire at the bottom of the stairs and get out of the front door seconds before the whole place went up in flames. This left our family bouncing around for months until we were able to finally get settled. That year I attended the Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time just weeks after the fire. Less than a year from that I’m sitting front row at the Grammy’s representing my company!
A few months after finally getting settled into a new home, hurricane barrel came through and devastated Houston. During the first day of the storm, three pecan trees fell into our roof while we were inside, three more trees over the next few days, fell into the house and completely compromise the structure of the home and made it unlivable and unrepairable. Our family was yet again left without a place to live for months.
The ups and downs are wild! If I told you there weren’t plenty of days of uncertainty, and I’m ready to quit moments I would be totally lying! It was rough! It was hard! But anytime I felt like I was going to quit God wouldn’t allow me, my students wouldn’t allow me, my teachers who I speak so fondly of and still to this day talk with me and check on me… They wouldn’t allow me. My own children wouldn’t allow me!
This was greater than me, and I obviously needed to keep pushing!
Nearly a decade after holding our first rehearsal back at the Hockley Community Center, we have become a full-blown media & entertainment company who supports creatives & creators of all types in all stages of their career. We teach, coach, manage, consult and mentor daily. We provide many platforms to showcase talent and help them connect with other avenues to grow and showcase their work. The best part is connecting companies and brands with creatives that help tell their story.
Our world is finally realizing what many successful companies realized long ago, that storytelling connects you with your audience. Something we have always known in the Theatre world. No one wants to hear the same story told by the same people the same way.
We want the world to see Off The Wall Media and Entertainment as a bold brand that stands out by telling unique stories in unique ways.
We empower and encourage YOU, the creators and businesses, to never give up, embrace your uniqueness, be resilient, be bold, be amazing and be you! Don’t be afraid to be Off The Wall!

I wouldn’t be where I am today without God, my supportive family and friends, and our huge Off The Wall Family and colleagues beside me day in and day out taking on projects and productions that we believed in, bartering services and supporting one another. We have laughed together and cried together!
My business and life partner Art for wearing every hat imaginable and only slightly complaining here and there, but dull bring it done. 😂
Last but most certainly not least my theatre teachers and mentors who believed in me and showed me that my uniqueness was my super power!
