We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Bellamy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
When people hear lingerie the first thing that comes to mind is “I can’t wear that” and my response is always “Why you can’t!!! I love helping others step out their comfort zone and try new things. I always tell people wear the lingerie don’t let the lingerie wear you! put it on for yourself or your significant other and feel good about it I think my impact on my community and the world is to bring back self love, confidence, accepting who you are and being yourself! which I think is very important especially after the pandemic.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Missbehavinwayz is more than just coming into my store and buying Lingerie, stripper gear, clothes, custom clothing, glasses, purses, pjs, swimsuits, heels and sandals, its about wearing the piece and feeling good with it on, stepping out your comfort zone and feeling good while doing it, I uplift people, I ask questions about their concerns and genuinely give my honest opinion or my best advice, that’s what sets me apart from others. I genuinely care because I know us women find any and everything wrong with ourselves.

My proudest moments are raising my 2 children, Amati 13 & Lorenzo 8, and teaching them life lessons allowing them to see their father and I stick together work hard and work on are dreams. Another proud moment is me thinking of an idea, putting my mind to it and bringing it to life! and 2 years later I opened my first store front in a mall.

I got to where im at today by being who I am, understanding and learning business and what comes with it and what to expect, how to treat people and how some people are going to treat you. keeping my eyes and mind on the end game at all times and don’t loose sight or focus of what im trying to achieve. It wasn’t easy but life is what you make it. I overcome all my challenges by keeping faith in god and keeping a positive mindset.

I learned in business you need a team to be successful I can’t do it all on my own, ITS HARD to juggle and run a business by yourself and balance personal family life as well. im still learning and growing.

I want the word to know Missbehavinwayz is a safe place for women! I have people come in and vent to me, breakdown and cry to me, ask me for advice, and don’t know any of them, that brightens my heart! im very fun, nice, outgoing, understanding,  loving and raw and uncut lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my mother, my auntie Lisa & grandmother, I would not be who I am today if they did not teach me life lessons, the importance of life and gave me unconditional love. I can’t thank them enough! I owe them the world and I’m going to give it to them.

I can’t forget my boyfriend Lorenzo who I’ve been with for 12 years and always stuck by my side through any and everything!
