We had the good fortune of connecting with Cara “SOLEIL SOLEIL X” White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cara “SOLEIL SOLEIL X”, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Do what you love, so you’ll never have to work a day in your life!” My father constantly instilled this motto in the lives of his children, and I continue to carry it with me. This quote lives in my heart because, as a business woman, I take pride in every project I am involved in. Even though life gets stressful at times, I am able to push through to the finish line from a heart of love.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being rooted and grounded in love, I have followed my passions in every venture. My family is infused with musicians and entrepreneurs who travel around the world spreading messages of hope and light. While obtaining my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas, I was introduced to a collective of artists, CH. X, who inspired me to take my love for creating music to the next level. After graduation, I set off to release my debut project, “PLYBCK,” which highlights the act of accepting yourself and learning to nurture healthy growth, both personally and collectively. Upon moving back to my hometown of Houston, Texas, I was able to obtain my Masters degree from the University of Houston-Downtown, and release more music under my artist name ” SOLEIL SOLEIL X .” Even when difficulties arise along the way, I take 3 deep breaths (repeatedly), walk in prayer, and keep pushing towards the goal(s). In the midst of it all, I ask The Creator, “what am I supposed to gain from this situation?, how do I need to respond and move forward righteously?”
As a representative of the #LoveMovement, I encourage people to implement love into everything we do. Even in our thoughts, Love is what’s needed to overcome any and every situation.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Sunday funday begins with giving thanks with my family, at From the Heart Church Ministries of Houston. After service we explore exciting restaurants in the city, such as Spring Street Beer and Wine Garden, and The Breakfast Klub.
Reggae Hut has been at the top of my list as my favorite restaurant since I was in middle school. The entire street is full of rich culture and pure energy.
During the week, I enjoy spending time at Afrovibes Ent. headquarters where I contribute to the uplifting of our voices in the media around the world. The Museum of Fine Arts is also another starting point that I enjoy visiting when I “explore the land.”
I love traveling around and intentionally “getting lost” in nature. I discover tons of new parks and beautiful buildings. Urban Eats is also one of my favorite restaurants with a relaxed environment.
I love food, lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my loving family, my incredible media family, Afrovibes Entertainment, LLC, and my dear friend DeAndrea of Haus Party by DJ for this nomination.
