We had the good fortune of connecting with Corrie Domingo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corrie, what do you attribute your success to?
Relationships are important in business and it is one of the key factors in long-term success… It gives you an edge, when clients trusts you they will stay loyal to you and to your brand. Just like your personal relationships, business relationships take time to develop. It’s an investment.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Professional Custom Clothier and I have been doing this since 2017… I design & style beautiful custom garments for men. May it be for professional, special events or even casual wear. I don’t just sell garments, I sell confidence. Every time I see my clients stand a little taller, getting excited and smile more, I know that I have done my job well! I have been in sales all my career life. Selling different industries. This position however, just fell on my lap and it was the best decision I have made for my career and my family. Every job has it’s own challenges but if you love what you do and your clients, then finding a solution comes easy.
Lessons learned along the way : Don’t burn bridges. Put importance in cultivating relationships. I value my clients, their time, their support and their trust. I don’t take anything for granted. Stay humble, stay grounded and always be appreciative of every experience and opportunity that I get to face every day.
Balani offers an exceptional product and has been a legacy brand since 1961. We ensure the best custom experience from start to finish. I am proud to be working for a company that values clients, the product and the relationships that we build along the way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a foodie and loves adventure. So I would take my bestie to must see Houston spots like Galleria Area, NASA, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston Island, The Post, Downtown Houston : Minute Maid Park, Discovery Green, Toyota Center and don’t forget Buc-ee’s and HEB!… For food, of course Kolache Factory, El Tiempo, The Pit Room for Texas BBQ and Weights & Measures and Love Croissant for Brunch and Luce , Tres Market or Della Coffee for coffee and pastries.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout 1st and foremost to my husband who has been my #1 supporter and fan from day 1. Our CEO Sonny Balani who believed in me and my capabilities and to my industry mentors Christian Boehm and Cordt Withum who helped me hone my skills and helped me to be where I am today.
