We had the good fortune of connecting with Daneon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daneon, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Music has always been my passion since I’m very young. My parents always encouraged me to learn music and I grew up around music all the time. It was definitely engraved in me since an early age.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love writing songs, making music and being creative has always been my biggest passion. Through my music I like to sing about my experiences in life, love, heart break, stories, etc. I’ve doing music all my life so I have a background as a music producer and sound engineer but also singing and playing instruments is something I love. I like to combine all kinds of elements that represent me from the past and from current sounds and make fusions that create a new sound. I wouldn’t categorize my music in just one genre but if I had to I’d say I make pop music, because I like to make music that connects with wider audiences.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love nature, I’d def bring them to a park or somewhere we could see a lot of nature… also I’d bring them to eat brisket hahaha one of my favorite things in Houston.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to all the immigrants that have been fighting for their dreams and work hard to make them a reality. I am one of them and I recognize the challenges we have to go thru to be accepted in a different society than the one we were born in.
