Meet Daniela | Newborn, Kids and Family Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniela, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is a combination of my belief in myself, the support from my husband, and the encouragement from my friends, alongside my ability to create genuine connections with my clients. From the beginning, I’ve always believed in my vision and my ability to capture life’s most meaningful moments in maternity, newborn, kids, and family photography. This self-belief has empowered me to trust my creative instincts and push through challenges. My husband has been a constant source of support, whether it’s offering feedback, handling behind-the-scenes tasks, our kids, or simply believing in my potential. Additionally, the encouragement from my friends/family have kept me motivated during tough times. On top of all that, I focus on building trust with my clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed during sessions. This combination of personal belief, family support, and a strong community has been essential to my success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My biggest motivation to improve every day is knowing that I am loved by God and the desire to put into practice the talents He has given me. I believe that this is what has helped me stand out. The creativity God gave me has helped me be original in my photographic compositions, and the sensitivity He gave me has allowed me to connect with people and look beyond just taking pictures.

What I’m most proud of is the deep trust my clients place in me. It’s humbling to know that I’ve been able to document such significant milestones in people’s lives. I’m also incredibly excited about how my work has evolved over time—I’ve continually refined my style and grown as both an artist and a business owner.

The journey to where I am today was far from easy.. From overcoming the language barrier, as Spanish is my first language, I had to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to communicate effectively, to learning the technical side of photography, and balancing the demands of running a business with my personal and family life.

The lessons I’ve learned are that in this business, I must be patient, true to my vision, constantly learn, and not compare myself to others in the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
oh Lord! I’m really not very good at giving tourist recommendations, haha. My spots are more family-friendly and calm, so I’m not sure what I’d recommend, maybe iconic places like NASA, Downtown… or I’d just ask ChatGPT, lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible husband, family, and friends. My husband has been my rock—always supporting me, offering feedback, or simply encouraging me to follow my passion. His belief in me has been such a powerful motivator. My family, and specially my in laws, has been there every step of the way, offering support when I needed it. And my friends, who have cheered me from the start, have been such an amazing source of encouragement.

I couldn’t have gotten here without their love, guidance, and constant belief in my abilities. They’ve truly been a big part of this journey, and I am so grateful for them.
