We had the good fortune of connecting with Desiree Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Desiree, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from El Paso, Texas! I was raised with the principle of treating others the way I want to be treated, which has deeply influenced how I approach massage therapy. This value taught me empathy, respect, and the importance of genuine care in every interaction. In my practice, I strive to create a space where women feel respected, understood, and nurtured, using that same guiding principle to provide the kind of care I would want for myself. It’s all about creating an environment of trust and support, which I believe is essential for healing.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is all about creating a sanctuary for women to experience real, meaningful care. What makes my practice unique is the way I approach each session with a blend of science-backed techniques and a deep sense of empathy. I don’t just offer a massage; I offer an experience where my clients can feel safe, nurtured, and rejuvenated, addressing not only physical tension but also emotional stress. I take pride in creating a space where women can fully relax, which I believe is rare and needed in today’s fast-paced world.

Getting to where I am today has been a journey of hard work and determination. It wasn’t easy, starting a business from the ground up is challenging, and there were times I questioned myself. But I’ve always had really strong faith. I believed in the power of God and what he can do, that faith kept me going. The support of my mom, sister, and even my old friends who helped refer clients played a huge role in helping me push through the tough moments. I overcame obstacles by staying focused, on my purpose and not being afraid to ask for help when I needed it.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way is the value of persistence and maintaining a clear vision. Challenges are inevitable, but they also shape you into a better business owner. I’ve also learned how essential it is to stay connected to the reason I started this in the first place. To offer healing and support to women.

What I want the world to know about my business is that it’s driven by a genuine desire to help women feel their best. My brand is about more than just relaxation. It’s about empowerment, balance, and providing a healing experience that helps women reconnect with themselves. Every client that comes through my door is treated with the same level of care and attention that I would want for myself, and I’m proud to be able to offer that to my community.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d want to show her the perfect mix of relaxation, local culture, and adventure. First, I’d make sure we had time to unwind. Starting with a massage at my place! And maybe a visit to a park or scenic drive to take in some fresh air. We’d definitely explore the local art and shopping scene, visiting the Upper Valley farmers markets on Saturday and Sunday morning. Since we’re both big nature lovers, we’d get outside for a hike during the week at the Franklin mountains. We’d make time for fresh, local eats like grabbing something from a few great food trucks at Oira’s Food truck park on Dyer St.
One of the best parts would be showing her a gem on the eastisde called Float and Calm spa for a float therapy session. I’d love to take her to the speakeasy-style bar 1922 in downtown where we could enjoy live music and some signature cocktails. Overall, it would be a week packed with a little bit of everything; good food, nature, art, and a whole lot of self care and relaxation.💜 I’d want her to leave feeling rested and rejuvenated after a trip back home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I will always be incredibly grateful to my mom and sister, who have had my back when I needed it most. They’ve been there to support me, listen to me vent, and encourage me every step of the way. Running a business can be challenging, but having people in your corner who you know will always be there makes the journey so much easier. I also want to thank my friends and family who supported me from the beginning by referring me to their own networks. Even though some of those friendships aren’t as close today, I’ll always remember and appreciate the support they gave me when I needed it most. Lastly, I’m so thankful for my boyfriend, whose patience and leadership have played a big role in shaping who I am today. His guidance has not only supported me but has also influenced the way I approach challenges in both my personal life and my business.
