We had the good fortune of connecting with Dolly Vyas-Ahuja and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dolly, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
1. Family- Being able to be home to raise my children. 2. Meditation- I meditate under my healing tree on a daily basis. 3. Nature- I am happy in nature, when I spend time at the lake with the ducks, fish, turtles and birds.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started practicing Taoism and the way of the Tao. I was reading books by Master Mantak Chia. It said in there to make a relationship with a tree and meditate under one. Through that process I was enlightened to know the deepest meaning of Karuna which means compassion for all living beings. This transformed me into leading a vegan lifestyle and becoming the voice for the voiceless. I then decided to embark on making a documentary titled the Land of Ahimsa which focused on how we can transform the world from a predator species to a caretaker species.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
