Hi Donna, do you have a budget?
I believe it is imperative to have a budget, I have several budgets: Budgets for my business D. Williams Consulting LLC, nonprofit S2S Facts Inc., and personal finances. I must admit, I did not major in finance nor am I an expert in budgeting, therefore I utilize quick books and simple excel spreadsheets. Having a personal budget is important to me. My basic budget includes an emergency fund and what I call, In Case I Miss It (ICIMI) which means in the event I do not receive the income I am accustomed to; I am still able to pay my bills. My lifestyle and spending decisions are typically based on a few things, necessity of the purchase, whether the spend will impact my basic budget negatively. and/or is it an investment expense which could yield positive returns. Additionally, I adopted a philosophy, never lend money I cannot afford to give away.

D Williams Consulting LLC is a consulting business specializing in business basics, mobile notary services, organizational effectiveness through team building, diversity & inclusion, employee & customer satisfaction training, and administration of Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment. Additionally A La Carte services from Professional & Personal Coaching, Strategic & Tactical Business Development, and Brand Positioning.  D. Williams Consulting takes pride in second chances, hence our tagline, Repositioning Futures. I have worked in corporate America for well over 25years, with expert level experience in strategic business development, marketing, leadership as well as a dynamic motivational speaker. D Williams Consulting’s purpose is helping small businesses or organizations compete as well as, assisting large corporations to be more efficient, starting with developing staff, leading to happier staff, ultimately resulting in increased productivity and revenue. Clients who have a niche yet do not know how to gain those high-level contracts or cannot get to a potential customer due to lack of business skill set or development of a strategic plan, or my corporate clients with high staff turnover rates bringing me in to conduct team building utilizing MBTI which assist in conflict resolution, team dynamics, career development etc. We have been able to continue to service clients utilizing virtual platforms to assure safety as well as satisfaction in the transfer of learning process. I am known best for being a dynamic, energetic, and engaging, inspirational speaker (Conversationalist); conducting keynote addresses on topics such as entrepreneurship, strategic collaborative successes, Rags to Riches, a different type of empowerment story for schools, universities, conferences, etc. Just as many other businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic bought multiple challenges; from cancelled speaking engagements to refunding organizations for services no longer needed. However, at D. Williams Consulting LLC, failure is not an option, therefore we began to utilize alternative methods for training, yes utilizing virtual platforms yet ensuring the tools used are in an engaging manner. Additionally, we promoted more of our a la carte services, coaching, brand promotion, mobile notary, and employability etiquette amidst COVID training, etc. to subsidize earnings. In my book of anthology, There’s A Jewel in You, Volume 3. I make a statement “I had to go through the path of grit, grime, gangster, grunt, and gruel; It was God’s plan for the journey of finding me.” My excitement to promote my book led to me launching a philanthropic arm of D. Williams Consulting LLC. S2S Facts, Inc. is a 5013c non-profit designed to unite girls & women through bridging gaps of diversity, inspiring friendships, encouraging social responsibility to the community, and creating an atmosphere of empowerment. I am proud to note through bi-monthly gap group sessions, social media channels, and its website, S2S Facts Inc. has empowered over 3000 ladies on relative topics such as, toxic friendships, self-compassion, depression, diversity, COVID precautions and other interactive sessions. Additionally, the coalition of ladies has collectively conducted over 4000 hours of community service, within the first 2 years. S2S Facts, Inc. “Sistahs to Sisters Unite” is a catalyst for the transformation of mindset. Our mission is to build tomorrow’s future today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Friday afternoon is a must for dinner and daiquiris at This is it Soul Food, I’m ordering the Ox Tails or Gumbo with an Electric Lemonade, (Light Electric please). Then get some exercise and fun at the FunPlex (Houston Funplex). River oaks is a nice shopping experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Whereas, I have read many books, and had multiple persons contribute to my successful journey, I would like to shout out a few. I am forever grateful to Dr. Quentina Miller-Fields, who was a counselor at the teenaged pregnancy program I attended at 16 years old. Dr. Miller-Fields was the first adult who made me realize I could triumph despite any challenging situation. Her life skills lessons and compassion helped me persevere throughout my teen and adult years. If it had not been for Mrs. Terri Snipes, the CEO of Titan Financials Services, D. Williams Consulting LLC would not have been birthed. I have utilized Titan Financials Services for years; therefore Mrs. Snipes knew the work I produced for friends and family at no cost, she encouraged me to branch out and start a consulting service. Lastly, but not least, I must shoutout my husband, Mr. Shagari L. Williams, and immediate family members for supporting my endeavors.
