We had the good fortune of connecting with Ebony Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ebony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting The Girl Boss Blueprint was all about impact. Years ago, when I had my first business, it was hard to get honest feedback and gain access to resources. Everybody wanted to support and motivate, but I just wanted to know what I was missing. I started The Girl Boss Blueprint with the goal of being the person I wish I had for someone else. I took my time studying and testing social media strategies, went back for a second degree, and started building genuine connections with my audience. My thought process was always simple: How can I provide honest feedback, mentor, teach business strategies, and give access to resources that could help another woman start a life-changing business?

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me a part from others is transparency and relatability. After getting my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and working for top Fortune 500 companies, I knew that not every woman had access to the same resources I’d been exposed to. I use my educational background and corporate experience to break down top marketing strategies for my audience and make them simple and easy to understand. I am so proud of the results I’ve been able to help women achieve in their business! I am proud to be able to create a space where business owners are getting real access to resources, and to now be starting Girls Night Inn so that female entrepreneurs have a space where they can build their network, speak openly about their journey, and get real help and support from like-minded women.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay, so let me start with I’m newer to Houston! But we would definitely go to PostHtx just for the food and skylawn. Rooftop Cinema, Kamp, probably do some shopping at Lilly’s Kloset or in Memorial City. If they brought kids, we will be having a ball in Color Factory or the aquarium! And if we’re talking food, let’s also add in Taste, Lost & Found, and Thirteen. There’s also a place, Tout Suite, that has amazinggg Chicken & Waffles!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents first and foremost, their support has been amazing from the very beginning! Also my coach, Marissa Layton. I would not be where I am without her! Lastly, each and every one of my clients. Thank you guys for trusting me with your brand! The support I get from my clients means everything to me.
