We had the good fortune of connecting with Elle Mallory and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elle, why did you pursue a creative career?
I wanted to feel closer to my mother. The kitchen gave her a feeling that I couldn’t identify growing up but I sensed it made her happy. Now that I’ve chosen this for myself, I realized that what she felt while being creative was euphoric.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from the others is that cooking to me is a form of love. I want to make sure that I am giving everything I can to serve who decides to invest in my craft, while continuously trying to improve what I do. There were so many times I wanted to give up because I couldn’t find the proper balance but I have learned that there is strength in your commitment. No risk equals no return. To reach this point in my career took a lot of tears, prayer and dedication. I always have to remember who’s watching and I think that is what truly makes me proud. My daughters. They love to broadcast my talents on their social media and rave about their mother being a chef and that is enough for me. I want the world to know that I am my brand and in the kitchen is where I am most authentic self.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
