We had the good fortune of connecting with Honey Lim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Honey, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The seed was planted by a playful idea between my husband and his friend, but the vision came from my heart. Growing up in Korea, I was surrounded by a beauty culture that focused on prevention, health, and subtle enhancement. When I became a nurse practitioner and later started practicing aesthetics, I noticed a gap in the American market—many treatments were overly aggressive or unnatural-looking. I wanted to offer something different. Seoul Glow Clinic is my way of blending the best of both worlds: my Korean roots and my American training

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been anything but linear—but it’s that winding path that shaped me into the provider I am today. I’m a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience, and my clinical background is rooted in internal medicine. I started my NP career at Delta Air Lines headquarters, where I had the opportunity to care for employees at every level—from ground crew to executives. It taught me the importance of a tailored approach to care and how to build trust with people from all walks of life.

I currently work full-time at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where I manage the medical needs of patients in crisis. That role taught me how to think critically, care deeply, and see each person as a whole—not just a diagnosis.

What sets me apart in the aesthetic world is that I bring both a medical and human-centered lens to every treatment. I don’t just treat wrinkles—I consider someone’s lifestyle, skin health, emotional wellbeing, and long-term goals. That’s why I fell in love with the art and science of aesthetic medicine: it’s a chance to help people feel confident while also prioritizing their health.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I built my business from scratch while working 7 days on/7 days off in a demanding hospital role. I invested every spare moment into trainings, mentorships, and treating models so I could refine my skills and develop a signature style rooted in Korean beauty principles—subtle, preventative, and naturally glowy.

There were times I felt like I was stretched too thin or unsure if people would believe in my vision. But the key lesson I’ve learned is to just keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep treating people well. Every client, every colleague, every connection matters.

Today, I’m proud to be the founder of Seoul Glow Clinic and to be recognized as one of Houston’s Top 5 Botox Centers. But more than any title, I’m proud to have created a space where people feel seen, heard, and never pressured. I want the world to know that my story is one of quiet perseverance and cultural fusion. I’m proof that you can honor your roots, embrace new beginnings, and carve out your own version of success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Morning walk at Buffalo Bayou Park, rent bikes, or even take a paddle boat if we’re feeling adventurous. We’d grab a brunch at Ruah Cafe to enjoy the most delicious crepes. Then, Obviously, they’re coming to Seoul Glow Clinic for a mini glow-up—think lip flip, vitamin injection, or a gentle Rejuran microneedling session! Lunch at Havana House to experience an authentic Cuban food. Stroll through Market Street for upscale shopping and dining. Try upscale k-bbq at Bori. Take a leisurely walk along The Woodlands Waterway, a scenic canal path.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely—there’s no way I could have done this alone. I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to the mentors who saw potential in me long before I saw it in myself. From the attending physicians and seasoned nurse practitioners who guided me during my early days in medicine, to the experienced injectors who welcomed me into the world of aesthetics and generously shared their knowledge—your support laid the foundation for everything I do today.

I also have to recognize my incredible husband, who has been my biggest cheerleader (and the first one to joke that I should open a medspa!). His belief in me never wavered, even when I doubted myself. And finally, to my clients—especially the ones who trusted me before Seoul Glow Clinic had a name or a logo—your faith and loyalty inspire me every single day.

My journey is a reflection of so many people pouring into me, and I carry that with deep gratitude.
