We had the good fortune of connecting with Imran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Imran, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Deep down, I knew I wouldn’t be happy if I didnt pursue being an entrepreneur. I began to feel like something was missing at the firms I worked at and I wanted to build something where I had meaningful influence.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own a Texas personal injury law firm that specializes in car accidents, 18 wheeler accidents, slip & falls, or any other case someone’s been negligible and it resulted physical harm or bodily injury.

One thing I am most proud of is that and I get great feedback about this is that I am happy to communicate with my clients and help them through their case from day 1. You would be surprised but most people don’t know what basic actions to take after getting in a car accident. That is where we come in.

It hasn’t been an easy road here but I put in the work and had to define my own story. I left a big family business to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. A lot of people go to work every day because its born out of necessity in other words because they have to. I can honestly say for me what I am creating makes it so that I am here because I want to be, not because I have to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
At the risk of sounding like all I care about is food, you gotta know that Houston is a major foodie capital! I’d definitely recommend my favorite spots like Bismillah on Hillcroft, my old stomping grounds, and Agas Indian cuisine.

I’d also definitely tell my friends to check out Houston Improv for a fun night full of laughs and if I’m looking for something more fun for the family I’d probably say checking put Sugar Land Town Center. My kids love running around and they’ve always got something going on for everyone!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is dedicated to my family. I would not be where I am today without the support and sacrifices of my wife and parents. I was a first generation college student and the first lawyer in my family. And thats all because of the encouragement I got from my family. It was because of them that I stayed motivated when things got tough.
