We had the good fortune of connecting with Jameria Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jameria, what do you attribute your success to?
My love for creating things with my hands also my willingness and desire to learn more! I also cannot forget about my amazingly handsome 3 year old son, Aubrey, my best-friend. Being a boy mom and a business woman has definitely showed me there’s always energy somewhere, room to grow and to never stop going!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hi, there. Meet Jameria Morris, the owner and operator of @BalloonMeBaby, I started my business about a year ago. For a while I actually struggled with confidence and security within myself and talents! During this time, BalloonMeBaby came alive… I am a balloon artist/event decorator. It all started with a balloon and decorating small family gatherings. What sets me apart from others is my small detailing I add in every event. Everything is uniquely made meaning no one event is ever the same. I’ve always had this creative side, and been a huge money saver so before I go out and make purchases for my business, I’ll attempt to make them on my own. Although, I live in a small city, it wasn’t always easy to get my business started. It gives me a peace of mind, especially after seeing the outcome of my work. In the words of Winnie The Pooh, “nobody can be uncheered with a balloon.” Seeing the expressions on my clients faces after an install, definitely keeps me going. Every celebration deserves to have balloons and great decor. Because why not?! GO BIG OR GO HOME! Throughout family, friends, and love I aspire to keep going. Let’s start planning your events today!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother- She’s been the backbone behind my business, the biggest supporter ever. Anything I need or help with she’s a phone call away. From helping with my son on event days, to the small details she works out and bring. She also purchased my first electrical balloon pump, which I still use to this day for my events. Shoutout to my Black Queen.
My Auntie (Cheryl or as we call her Momo) the ring leader of decorating in our family, whom I’ve learned so much from whether she thinks so or not lol. By studying her techniques, cleaning detail, and having a bird eye view, has helped my business tremendously.
