We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaimie Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaimie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would have to be my faith in God! There is absolutely no way I would be this successful or courageous to even take the leap of faith into my career!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So I’m a creator of all kinds! My first love I was singing but I took up the passion of doing Hair at the young age of 12. I was what you call a neighborhood beautician! It just came so natural for me; I would have never guessed it would be my profession! That’s not where it stops for me in the arts! I believe in turning my passions into profit! I was passionate about hair but when I thought I was going to lose my mother at the young age of 24. I knew I had to make her proud and turn my life around for the good! I took my first leap of faith and enrolled into Paul Mitchell beauty college. That was the start of new beginnings for me; I graduated as one of the top hair stylist in the school. I realized I didn’t want to just do hair so I started a hair company; ButterCup Extensions. This business is definitely hard and full of competition but it’s worth it. I then started to think how can I help my clients and the idea came to mind. The reason why I started doing hair: to help women feel beautiful. To promote healthy growing hair; which lead me to cooking up my own hair growth oil! EHC Eimia’J Hair Care; I researched and created my own hair growth oil! It’s been selling like crazy; thanks to all my supportive clients. We are seeing so much growth. With all these accomplishments, I still felt as though I was missing something. I ended up facing some hard trials in my life that took me into depression. It was a very low time in my life, but I found a new passion in my pain. I began to paint and just like hair; it came naturally!!! I started to have so many paintings: I began to sell them. Next thing you know I have my own mobile paint party business! Jai’s Paint Party; we bring the paint party to you! My life hasn’t been easy but God took all my creative passions and let me turn them in businesses! It’s not how you start but how you finish! I choose to finish with pride; knowing I gave it my best! It’s never been easy for me, I have always had to work hard. Days I wanted to give up, I refused to! When I was depressed I pulled myself Together and found that I still had a purpose in this world! As long as you’re breathing you have a chance to be great and leave a legacy! I want people to know I may not be famous but I’m proud of the woman I became and the woman I am! Never giving in to the hard days but stronger with every new day!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A day of fun with my bestie would be going to a park to feed the ducks; Herman park. We would get something to eat at Lost and Found (downtown Houston) we would get snow ones from Bahama Bucks!!!! Catch a live music set a A’dor or Phil & Deeeks!!!! I’m definitely singing at open mic night!! Finishing up with hookah and drinks!!! We also enjoy Paintinh with a Twist. Dave & Busters; shooting pool at Slick Willies and driving out to Galveston to enjoy leisure time at the beach!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mama has been the biggest inspiration in my success! She is a go getter! She has always pushed me into the direction of my success! Even when I wasn’t listening. She was right!!!!
