We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazz Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazz, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success is not based on monetary and or materialistic gain but instead based on the positive goals you have set for yourself; whether they be career wise, in your personal life, or with friendships/romantic relationships. Your success is not designed by what other people so see fit but instead what you see fit for yourself.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Nothing worth having is easily attained so with my rap career there were struggles that arose but I kept faith and perseverance. The difference between someone who is successful and someone who is deemed as not, is simply because one gave up and the other kept going. Many people have seen me on television since I was 14 years old and now that I’m in my 20s, all I ever want to exude is growth.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to work hard and play harder so my favorite spot in the city to eat and have a good drink at would be Joey’s Uptown, Rouxpour, and or Pappadeaux. I love seafood so I’m often at Fat Crab as well. I’m not into the nightlife or club scene, but when I want to go to a lounge with friends, I frequent Ador or Nomad. Love fitness and working out so when I want a good sweat, I go 3-4 times out of the week to Fitness Connection.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I always give a shout out to my mom and God. With God and good mentorship and leadership from my mom, I have always felt like anything I wanted to accomplish can be achieved.
