Meet Jennifer Handley | Business Owner and Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Handley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I strive to accomplish as a mother is to provide my daughter with a life of truth and balance. Raising children is hard, and finding the right balance between love and discipline is a daily responsibility. She’s a beautiful soul, inside and out, and I pray that she’s inspired and encouraged. At the end of the day, we are all human. We have good days and we have bad days. I use my good days to guide her and my bad days to teach her to be, and do, better…. but I use every day to love her fully.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I envisioned All Things Beautiful loooong before I made it official. I love doing makeup, and I wanted to have my own line of cosmetics. It hasn’t been easy. I’ve had doubts, fears, and setbacks, but every one of those encounters made me want it that much more. I prayed about it for a long time before I started my company, and God started placing opportunity after opportunity in my path. With that being said, I started to view my struggles as opportunities as well; opportunities to grow and learn. I knew what I wanted my company to be before I started. I wanted high quality, affordable products. I spent a lot of time and money investing in the quality of my products. My lashes are made of Korean silk with a cotton band, making them lightweight and comfortable. They are also reusable up to 15 wears when properly cleaned and cared for. My eyeshadows are highly pigmented and formulated perfectly for building and blending to get the perfect look. I’m currently working on liquid matte lipsticks which should be available this spring. They are rich in color and last for hours. They also don’t crack or dry up like other liquid matte lipsticks do. They are soft and velvety. I want to continue providing the best quality cosmetics to my customers as I continue to grow my company and add more products.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would probably spend most of our time eating. I’m convinced Houston has the best tasting food, and there are so many different varieties of food all over the place. We would check out some art shows, museums, flea markets, maybe even go horse back riding. Depending on the season, absolutely hit up the beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God gets ALL the credit for everything in my life. Every success, every strength, every lesson, every come back and come up. I’m nothing without Him. My family is also a major factor in my story. I have a really big family, and they motivate me daily.
