We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Ray Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse Ray, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Aside from the cliche “Winners Never Quit” quote, which is completely true, what’s helped me not give up after so many NO’s were the very cool Yes’s. short wins along the way always helps journey! Wins that I’ve Never really expected but come right on time when you need some encouragement foreal.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Born and raised in Buffalo New York , I’m now a Houstonian going on 9 years. Along with being a touring and studio musician and producer, I’m also a lover a creating songs. Traveling to over 16 countries and all over the US, has shaped a pretty diverse ear. It allowed me to be able to work a lots of different genres. Some Artist Ive had the pleasure of working with over the years include Marvin Sapp, Najee, Leon Timbo, NoName, Conway the Machine, Benny The Butcher, Dadra Greathouse, Phill Wade, Jon Deas and more. One of my coolest recent memories is getting perform at Coachella with NoName, that festival was nuts! God has certainly been good to me, very random lol, but very good! I also have to shout out some of the companies that rock with this Kid from ole Buffalo New York . Hammond Organ, Nord, Promark Drum Sticks and the whole Daddario Family, all have been dreams to be a part of since a kid.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First of all Id grab some food from ChopnBlock then slide over to the Living Room for some dope live music, and end the night at the town lake peer! Next morning must begin with the Breakfast Klub! or scratch all that for a nice Rockets game lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For sure my RIDE or Die wife Kim. She’s seen the grind, the disappointments, the most uncomfortable moments, and most importantly all the awesome wins! ways along my music career. I’m nothing with out Kim.
