We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Moreno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
With Restoration Wellness and learning, I see this company as a combination of how to service the community through three ideas: providing honesty to our clients of how we can help them through their journey of self care, being aware and present in front of our clients to provide the best therapeutic self care, and have compassion for the current challenges our clients may be going through. What exciting about creating these safe spaces for self care to the community is finding a group of like minded licensed professionals who want to help others through the stressors and tensions of today. Our “Coaches” are the connection to our clients, and we are so very grateful for each of their gifts and talents they bring to Restoration.

If I reflect of all the lessons I learned in my professional career, I would a mentor of mind who always said, “I am not successful, until you are successful”. Till this day, I continue to keep this quote close to my heart.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like to balance my time inside and outside. For outside, I recommend the Bayou areas such as the Memorial Trails, Arboretum, Park, and Bayou itself for some in the city nature connection for kayaking/hiking. For food, you can’t go wrong with some Velvet Taco, Harold’s in the Heights, or find a local food truck like Dibble Dabble Lab Southern Creole Columbian Fusion. You can’t go wrong for great diverse food in Houston!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would first like to dedicate this to my father, Joe. Since I was a kid, I have watched him weather through this life with integrity, dignity, love, and compassion. I always wondered why I was so fascinated at my dad’s accomplishments through his life. Now, I know that what was happening was an idea how to live my own life with integrity, dignity, love, and compassion.

I would not be who I am at this moment in time if it wasn’t for all the countless friends, loved ones, professionals, and family that has supported me through this life journey.
