Meet John Pullings | Model/Photographer/Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with John Pullings and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m a Model/Photographer/Creative Director. Located in Houston,Texas. My family have always been loving and supportive of me as an individual. Consistently pushing me to be my best self. We have not always been the most fortunate when it came to having finances, but we always worked hard to complete ours goals. The work ethic both my parents expressed inspires me daily to be the best at what I’m trying to accomplish in my life. Wether it involves art, wealth, or even self development.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Art is perspective. I see art daily in things you would never have deemed potential. I love minimalistic and nature authenticity as well as grunge elements. The goal is to change the way people view the world, to see it for all it has to offer. Photography is timeless, it tells stories in a million words. Art is my virtue to life. It pushes me through my hardest obstacles.
Through passion, I have learned that consistency and determination creates freedom. From fear and doubt. I want to inspire the world. letting them know that they’re dreams are as real as reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is a great place to look into and discover. The Flat Houston is also a great place to unwind and get into the art socialites of Houston.
The Menil Collection is have unique modern structures containing distinctive art.
The Graffiti wall is a cool place to also admire street art.
Sanman Studios a art/Photography studio that host events is also a cool place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a loving shoutout to all the Houston/Dallas photographers who saw potential in me to create such beautiful work. Also to all of the passionate models who believed in my visions and productivity. I wanna give the biggest shoutout to GOD himself for all the strength and love and daily support.
