We had the good fortune of connecting with Julie Moser and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julie, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Kindness I found through my cancer treatments people were kind. However, when I grew my hair back many thought I was done with all the side effects of treatments. This is a misunderstanding to most. Just because one looks healthy, you never know what a person may still be struggling with.
To me, it’s important to always have kindness and give grace as you never know what someone may be going through.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a nonprofit founder, military spouse, mom of three and a two time breast cancer thriver.
I founded Pink Warrior Angels ( PWA) when I discovered during my cancer journey that we didn’t qualify for financial assistance anywhere as we’re are a typical middle class family and just didn’t qualify for help.
PWA not only offers financial Assistance to those in cancer treatments but all applications are considered on a case by case basis vs income based.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The cancer community has been a family that I didn’t ask to be in. They embrace you with open arms and help guide you through some of your toughest days.
Pink Warrior Angels was created to have the cancer warrior paired with an angel ( someone who has been through treatments)
