We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaedan Cash and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaedan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Where there is no risk there is no reward! Life is a risk so while here we might as well bet on ourselves! I learned this from my friend Antony Benham. Even though he was young he always played every game fearlessly taking risks on every play. When we lost him I made him and myself a promise that though it’s a risk at some point I have to go for it and when I do the odds are going to be in my favor and I’m going to win big!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a teenpreneur (teenage entrepreneur) that owns the youth basketball organization Swaveway Playaz, I am in the process of creating an online apparel company that will feature exclusive clothing and accessories. Getting to this point wasn’t easy because I am so young but I have a strong team behind me aka my family who believe in me and my future! My brand is not about self but it’s about me building so others can prosper and grow. All of my brothers(friends) that are around me will be able to branch off from Swaveway and have their own brands!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well since I am still a teenager lol and a lot of my friends are from California were I am originally from and now live in Texas we are immediately going to urban air on a Friday night then the rest of the weekend we are at Andretti and Main Event! These are all the places that we like to go and maybe a Rockets basketball game!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my parents! Starting with my dad Trevion Houston. He has been a mirror of transparency for me by being honest and vulnerable with his journey as a man, a father, businessman and athlete. Which has given me a blueprint of what I want and don’t want in my life. My mom Janay Cash is my biggest supporter! She has shown me how strong, resilient, graceful and courageous anyone can be! She is teaching me how to be a great businessman, and person in general! My Mimi and Papa for always supporting everything me and my mom do you all are our MVP’s! Antony Benham for teaching that no matter how small I may have been I am still powerful! Auntie Terri, GiGi and Sister Linda for always supporting me no matter what I miss you all and love you!
I do this for all of them!
