We had the good fortune of connecting with Karen Pulaski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karen, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Artistry and Quality We use only the best Italian made textiles for our bedding collections and our Italian workroom is run by the great grandson of the founder of Frette. Selecting the best quality cottons on the market ensures easy care for all of our bedding collections. True luxury endures with ease in my opinion. Our special accessory pieces are all artisanal based and carefully curated with our customers in mind. Our selection of cashmere from Nepal is designed exclusively for Tribute Goods Fine Linens. Our vintage Hermès silk pillows are sourced from premier antique dealers who are established in Europe and Japan and fabricated by hand locally. We are adding to our shop daily and offer a wide variety of beautiful objects for the home that can not be found anywhere else.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tribute Goods Fine Linens produces all of our prints in collaboration with fine artists. We create original artwork exclusive to us and digitally print on the finest Italian woven Egyptian cotton sateen. Our process is much more entailed than the standard for developing prints. We see value in expressing the hand of the artist within our prints. The final products are like individual works of art for the bed. Making everyday objects something full of joy, life, movement and color. Creating a meaningful connection to the beauty that surrounds you in your home is our ultimate goal. How did we get to where we are today? Lots and lots of hard work!! Passion, drive, and money! Did we mention our love for beauty and sentimentality for everything that we surround ourselves with in our homes?!! Lessons- suspend expectations and stay open for the ride! The origin of our name Tribute Goods Fine Linens is about giving back to our community. We donate 10% of profits to organizations supporting the Arts, Education and AIDS research.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many to acknowledge! First the artists that we have collaborated with to develop our printed collections- Nancy Ruby, Kia Neill and Kevin Peterson, Each of these artists stepped up to the challenge of creating something that they had not done before. They trusted me to honor their vision and we were able to translate these designs into printed bedding collections. My mill in Italy who had the patience to work with me on each of our collections and showed so much enthusiasm to help us get each print perfected. My workroom in Italy who so lovingly produces all of our collections. The care to detail that they take with each item is equal to a fine tailor in a couture atelier! Julie Soefer and her right hand Claudia Casbarian for capturing the beauty of our collections in gorgeous photography. All of our loyal designers and customers for supporting us from the beginning. Local and national press for showing interest and support of our work from the beginning!
