We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendra Villarreal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendra, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Positively changing the lives, emotions, and self-esteem of women is something I’ve been blessed to do for over 16 years. Through skincare, facials, and waxing my clients look and FEEL better. Clients who are drawn to me aren’t chasing a social ideal of beauty but rather their definition of beauty for themselves. My business looks at the body as a whole. I don’t look at just skin, we dive deeper at Kendra Renee. We speak about diet, quiet time/meditation, breathing techniques, and more. These things help the skin GLOW from the inside out and the results impact their attitudes about themselves, which radiates to their friends and family. It’s a beautiful circle and truly changes lives.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Improving women’s lives through holistic facials and waxing is such a blessing. My offerings help women to feel more confident in their everyday lives. Most estheticians look at just the skin but at Kendra Renee, I treat the skin, fascia, muscle, and lymphatic system during my signature skin offerings. This provides a glow from the inside out. A lot of women come to see me for alternatives to Botox and fillers.
I have created a brand culture that calls in women who don’t chase society’s beauty standards but they choose to invest in my offerings to help them be the best versions of themselves.
I took a risk to bring these treatments to my area because no one else was offering these approaches. It is such a passion that I knew I had to do it and I believed the right clients would be called in and book a service. Now that I’ve been open for a couple of years, clients tell me all the time that the Bryan/College Station Area has needed this approach to esthetics!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them out to Wild Flyer Mead Company in Navasota for lunch and some fabulous mead. Then we would head out to downtown Bryan for some shopping and coffee at Harvest Coffee. Taking a drive outside the city is always so beautiful, everything is so green and open. Then we’d finish up with dinner and drinks at The Republic in College Station. The best whiskey and steak in the area!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lori Crete, the Esthetician Mentor, has inspired me for over 10 years. She always pushes me to become a better version of myself, both personal and business.
