We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth & Carolyn Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenneth & Carolyn, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting our own business wasn’t just a decision — it was a calling. We saw a need in our community for honest, high-quality plumbing services delivered with care, and we knew we had the skills, the work ethic, and the heart to meet that need. But more than that, we wanted to build something of our own — something rooted in family, integrity, and pride.
.
We were tired of working for others who didn’t share our values. We wanted to create a business where we could set the standard, treat people right, and take ownership of our future. It wasn’t just about making a living — it was about building a legacy, something our family could be proud of for generations.

We knew it wouldn’t be easy. But we also knew that with hard work, persistence, and a whole lot of heart, we could make it happen. And every time we solve a problem for a customer, every time someone refers us because they trust us — it reminds us why we started this journey in the first place.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is built on experience, integrity, and heart. Kenneth has been a plumber for over 30 years, and that depth of knowledge shows in every job we take on. But what truly sets us apart isn’t just the skill — it’s the care. We treat every home like it’s our own, every customer like family, and every job — big or small — with the same level of precision and pride.

We didn’t start this business because it was easy. We started it because we believed in doing things the right way. We saw a need for honest, reliable plumbing services in our community — and we knew we could fill that gap with quality work and genuine service.

Getting to where we are today has taken hustle, sacrifice, and a whole lot of faith. There were moments when the obstacles felt overwhelming — juggling the business, family, finances, and everything in between.
But we kept showing up. We learned to lean on each other, to stay organized, and to never stop improving — whether that meant refining our systems, investing in better tools, or simply listening more closely to our customers.

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that consistency builds trust. When you show up, do what you say you’ll do, and treat people right — word spreads. That’s how we’ve grown: one satisfied customer at a time.

What we want the world to know is this: we’re not just a plumbing company. We’re a family business rooted in service, built on experience, and driven by a deep commitment to our community. We’re proud of what we’ve built — and even more excited about where we’re headed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1: Welcome to Spring!
We’d kick things off with a stroll through Old Town Spring — it’s a hidden treasure packed with charm. We’d pop into the local boutiques, grab a coffee at Java Owl, and maybe pick up something sweet from The Confectionery. For dinner, it’s got to be Spring Creek BBQ or Jax Burgers — nothing says “welcome to Texas” like smoky brisket or a juicy burger with fries.

Day 2: Nature & Nostalgia
We’d start the morning with a walk or bike ride through Pundt Park or Mercer Botanic Gardens — peaceful, green, and perfect for catching up. In the afternoon, we’d hit up Topgolf or Old MacDonald’s Farm if we’re feeling playful. Dinner would be at The Republic Grille — their chicken-fried steak is legendary.

Day 3: Galveston Getaway
Time for a little road trip! We’d head down to Galveston for a beach day — walk the shore, dip our toes in the Gulf, and soak up the sun. Lunch at The Spot or Shrimp N Stuff, then a slow walk down the Seawall. On the way back, we’d stop at the Kemah Boardwalk for a sunset ride on the Ferris wheel and maybe a cocktail by the water.

Day 4: Local Eats & Live Music
We’d sleep in, then grab brunch at Toasted Yolk Café. In the afternoon, we’d explore The Woodlands Waterway — maybe rent a paddleboat or just enjoy the shops. At night, we’d catch some live music at Dosey Doe — great food, even better vibes.

Day 5: Houston Culture Day
We’d venture into Houston to check out the Museum District — maybe the Museum of Fine Arts or the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Lunch at The Raven Grill, then a walk through Hermann Park. If we’re feeling fancy, dinner at Brennan’s or something fun like Ninfa’s on Navigation.

Day 6: Small-Town Gems
Back in Spring, we’d hit up The Black Sheep Bistro for a cozy lunch, then maybe a little antique shopping or a wine tasting at Envy Wine Room. We’d end the day with a backyard hangout — good music, good food, and a fire pit under the stars.

Day 7: Sunday Reset
We’d start the day with a peaceful walk and coffee, maybe a little yoga or just porch sitting. Brunch at The Toasted Yolk (yes, again — it’s that good), and then a slow afternoon to soak in the memories before they head home.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s no way we’d be where we are today without the people who’ve poured into us — with their time, their wisdom, and their belief in what we’re building.

First and foremost, our family. They are the heartbeat of everything we do. From the early mornings to the late nights, they’ve stood beside us — not just cheering us on but rolling up their sleeves and doing the work with us when the need was there. This business is rooted in family, and every step forward is a shared victory.

We also want to shout out our community — the neighbors, clients, and friends who trusted us when we were just getting started. Every referral, every kind word, every “you’ve got this” gave us the fuel to keep going. You didn’t just support a business — you believed in a dream.

And finally, a quiet but powerful thank-you to the mentors and small business owners who showed us what’s possible. Whether it was a conversation, a shared resource, or just leading by example, you helped us see that we could do this — and do it our way.

This journey is ours, but it’s never been ours alone. And for that, we’re endlessly grateful.
