We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenny Jeann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenny, why did you pursue a creative career?
Honestly? Because I couldn’t not. I’ve always seen the world in scenes and snapshots — little moments that feel cinematic. Creativity wasn’t just a hobby; it was the only way I knew how to process everything around me. I didn’t want to play by rules or timelines — I wanted to tell stories that felt real, raw, and a little bit rebellious. This career lets me do that on my own terms.

I’ve always felt most alive when I’m creating something that tells the truth — whether it’s through film or photography. I didn’t choose this career to just take pretty pictures — I chose it because I believe moments, memories, and emotions deserve to be documented with intention. Creativity became my language when words fell short. It lets me capture what’s real, what’s raw, and what people will look back on decades from now and feel all over again.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
At its core, my art is about feeling. I don’t just press record or click the shutter — I chase the in-between moments. The breath before the kiss. The hand squeeze under the table. The shaky laugh when the vows hit too deep. That’s the heartbeat of what I do.

What sets me apart is the way I let people be. I don’t force poses or chase perfection — I create space for authenticity, connection, and quiet magic. And that shows up in my work. It’s nostalgic but bold. Soft but cinematic. Rooted in truth and edited with intention.

Getting here? Definitely wasn’t easy. I built this brand while raising babies, doubting myself, and rebuilding my voice more times than I can count. I’ve burned out. I’ve questioned everything. But every time I came back, I came back sharper — more honest, more grounded, more me.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you don’t need to fit anyone’s version of “professional.” You just need to stay in alignment with your own values and vision. The right clients — the ones who get you — will always find you when you’re showing up as your full, unfiltered self.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my work, it’s this:
I’m not here to just document a day.
I’m here to tell a story that feels like you.
One you’ll replay a hundred times and still cry at.
One your grandkids will feel in their chest.
Because art should last — and love deserves to be remembered like art.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh, for sure. Shoutout to every ride-or-die who hyped me up when I doubted myself — and to the people who handed me the mic when I was still whispering. The friends who said, “Post that shit. Charge more. Take up space.” The ones who reminded me I’m not just good at what I do — I’m meant to do it. Y’all know who you are, and I love you for it.
