Kierstan, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Since we last spoke, I was fully immersed in my group fitness classes, pouring my heart into what I love most—movement, energy, and community. But behind the scenes, I was struggling to balance it all. My mental health, financial stability, and the pursuit of my dreams often felt like they were pulling me in different directions. It was a challenging season, one where I had to make tough choices and really ask myself what I wanted my future to look like.

Fast forward to today, and I’m in a much better place—stronger, more grounded, and more aligned with my vision than ever before. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. I’m excited to share all the growth, shifts, and exciting things happening in my life right now. Let’s dive into the next chapter together!

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Life has been a whirlwind of change, growth, and exciting new chapters. I recently made the big move to Las Vegas, fully immersing myself in the event industry as a brand ambassador. I love everything about the flexibility this career offers—being able to create my own schedule while earning a solid income. It’s been empowering to take full control of my time and opportunities.

But getting here wasn’t a simple decision. Before relocating, I was offered a salary position in Pacific Palisades as an assistant physical education teacher. It would have been my first-ever salaried job with benefits and a consistent paycheck—a level of security I had never had before. The decision wasn’t easy, and I didn’t take it lightly. I literally sat down and wrote out every pro and con of staying in Los Angeles versus making the leap to Vegas. Security versus freedom. Stability versus possibility.

At the time, things felt uncertain. My fitness career had slowed down—I had gone from teaching 7-10 group fitness classes a week to just subbing here and there. I found myself in a transition period, unsure of what was next but knowing deep down that I wanted more. And that’s when it hit me—my soul wasn’t just missing fitness, it was yearning for ownership. I no longer wanted to just teach; I wanted to build something of my own.

So now, in this new chapter, I feel a renewed sense of purpose. I don’t just want to teach classes—I want to launch and lead my own. Not just in one place, but in every city I’ve called home: Houston, Los Angeles, and now Las Vegas. It’s a big dream, but one that excites me in a way that security never could.

This journey is constantly evolving, and while the road hasn’t always been smooth, I trust that every choice I’ve made is leading me exactly where I’m meant to be. I’ve learned that the best decisions aren’t always the easiest—they’re the ones that challenge you to bet on yourself. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
For me, making tough choices comes down to clarity, trust, and alignment. First, I get clear on what truly matters—whether it’s my values, long-term goals, or the people involved. Then, I trust my instincts while also considering the logical side of things. I remind myself that no decision is perfect, but every choice is a step forward.

I also believe that tradeoffs aren’t just about loss; they’re about prioritization. When I let go of one path, I’m making room for something better aligned with where I’m meant to be. I lean on faith, experience, and the belief that even challenges shape me for the better. And in moments of doubt, I remind myself: if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. If it excites me and scares me at the same time, it’s usually worth the risk.

At the end of the day, I trust that I’m always being guided in the right direction—even when the road isn’t immediately clear.
