Hi Liliana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own photography business began unexpectedly, stemming from a hobby that I quickly grew to love. At first, taking photos of my family and friends was just a creative outlet that helped me break out of my comfort zone. But when I started sharing my work on social media, people started noticing and asking me to take photos for them.

The positive feedback and requests kept coming, and before I knew it, I realized I could turn my passion into a business. So, I took a leap and decided to formalize everything by establishing my own company. It was a thrilling step into the world of entrepreneurship, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to capture special moments.

Photography isn’t just about snapping pictures for me—it’s about storytelling and connecting with others. Whether it’s a family portrait or a beautiful landscape, each photo represents a part of my journey from hobbyist to professional photographer.

Through this journey, I’ve found not just a job, but a deep sense of satisfaction. It’s about more than just taking photos; it’s about creating memories and building relationships with my clients. Every time I click the camera, I’m reminded of how far I’ve come and excited about what lies ahead in this exciting world of photography and business ownership.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey as a photographer is deeply rooted in my immigrant experience and a passion for preserving memories. Being away from my family, and losing some loved ones without being able to say goodbye, has fueled my commitment to specializing in family photography. I aim to create beautiful, lasting memories for families, capturing every moment and season so they can cherish them forever.

What sets me apart is my focus on candid moments that evoke genuine emotions. I want families to relive those special times whenever they look at their photos. As a Christian, photography is not just a profession but an opportunity to serve with love and kindness, enriching the lives of those who trust me to capture their memories.

Professionally, it hasn’t been easy. Starting out with few connections meant I had to put myself out there to build a clientele. Overcoming this challenge required persistence and a willingness to step out of my comfort zone. Each client I’ve reached has been a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that every “no” is a step closer to a “yes.”

Through this journey, I’ve learned valuable lessons about resilience, patience, and the importance of seizing opportunities. I want the world to know that my brand is built on integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to preserving the moments that matter most. My story is one of overcoming obstacles, embracing diversity, and spreading love through my art.

To anyone starting out or hesitant to pursue their dreams, my advice is simple: take that leap. The worst outcome is hearing “no,” but without trying, you guarantee yourself a “no.” Believe in yourself, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and trust that passion and hard work will pave the way to success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It all depends on which friend is visiting, but I’d love to treat them to some of my favorite dining experiences like sushi, Italian, Venezuelan, or Mexican cuisine. We could unwind at the beach for some relaxation, tackle an escape room (I’m hooked on them!), try indoor climbing for an adventurous twist, hit up Topgolf (despite my lack of skill, it’s a blast), and catch a movie at the bistro. It’s about sharing great food, exciting activities, and making lasting memories together!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my heartfelt gratitude to a few extraordinary individuals and to God, who have been my steadfast support throughout this journey. First and foremost, I am deeply thankful to God for His guidance and blessings that have illuminated my path as an entrepreneur.

I also want to honor my husband, whose unwavering support and belief in my dreams have been invaluable. He has been my cheerleader through every challenge and victory, making the journey more meaningful and joyful.

And to my three incredible children, who inspire me daily with their curiosity and resilience. They are my motivation, teaching me the importance of persistence and reinforcing that dreams are worth pursuing. I strive to demonstrate to them that dedication and hard work can transform aspirations into reality, and I aspire to encourage them to fearlessly pursue their own dreams.

Together, these individuals have profoundly influenced my journey and continue to ignite my passion for photography and entrepreneurship. They exemplify perseverance and serve as a constant reminder that with determination and support, anything is achievable.
