We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Oscar Velasquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luis Oscar, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Bogota Colombia live in Houston Texas for almost 25 years .
I have 4:kids Ive been doing music since I was 14.15 years old til this day . That’s I believe had expire many people to never quit and always believe in your self .biggest impact using myself as avocade and testimony for the new generation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My beginning was in the south side part of Bogota city the capital of Colombia ..I was a Bboy breakdancer and a graffiti artist… Always dream to put out albums and music videos of my ow music.. now I have drop em and fullfil my dream more than I what expected, now I have my own label, my own style, my own studio and my own clothing brand that call Rolo Caliche . .to me was eazy it just took quit a bit because I had it to grind on my own in the USA .with no family and money .I came from a real poor but humble family….it took a long time but I can say now it was worth every cent every minute of me doing this.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Houston I like the galleria area and a few music spots on Richmond Ave .also I really love walking downtown on the weekends. Here in Bogota I love so many places it’s crazy .can’t mention all the good and fun spot here ..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my mother tha has always support me ..god almighty, my kids ,life I got.. and all those that support and cares about artists with real talent
