Meet Madicin | Record Producer & Singer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madicin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madicin, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
Always showing gratitude for sure. Also, I’ve always made sure my son Valli seen me doing what I love to do consistently which is music composition. Inspiring people young and old that the gift of musicians talent never expires and there’s multiple ways of defining what “incredible” is.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been doing music professionally for 10 years now. Vocal arranging and vocal producing are my first love. Fun Fact: Out of all of my siblings (4 including me) my dad sung to my mother’s womb the whole pregnancy term, so melodically I feel I have a very unique approach to melody ideas in the studio. With that, I’m most proud of my latest accomplishments, being an A&R for Kenny Lattimore’s Last 3 albums. Yes! Thee one and only legend. I have to admit being consistent before seeing any results is why I’m in this position today. Far from easy for sure but highly grateful for every low and high moment along the way. Some of the lessons I’ve learned is timing is everything and don’t rush the process trust the process. Your results comes in preparation not luck. ALWAYS BE PREPARED. Sometimes it may seem like artists pop out of nowhere. This is one of those moments where you can grow with me the artists. Lets have some fun!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Welp, Starting off with Monday morning, I’ll take them to Lost and Found where it’s happy hour ALLDAY, then later in the day The Tasting Room for some great wine and a cool cigar. Can’t go too hard on a Monday lol. Tuesday slight turn up at CRU Houston with my brothers Space and Rai P with a live dj, casamigos, and hookah. Wednesday, we’ll crash A’Dor for Trapsoul Wednesdays for live music, great food, and good vibes with my homie Renzo, Thursday, I’ll take them to The Turkey leg Hut, Must experience this for sure. Friday, We going al the way up at Seaside, might need a day to recover after and chill lbvs. Sunday Brunch at Sal Y Piemnta to end the wonderful week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is great, I wanna shoutout Virgil & Timothy Stewart, Chad C-Note Roper, and Ivan latimore. These guys invested into my gift before anyone recognize my talent as a young child. They used their resources the best way possible to get me where I am today with No Contract!!! That’s highly rare in this business.
