Meet Maeve De Voe | World’s First Princess Pop Star

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maeve De Voe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maeve, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My goal in life is to create new global change: I want to Make The World Smile! I have a strong desire to heal others from their pains, and to unite everyone with my music! I primarily keep my music upbeat and joyful, so others can have a happy time with me. My brand is family-friendly and created for all ages to enjoy. I want to inspire girls and women to be confident in their femininity, and to go for their biggest dreams while wearing their favorite fashion. I’m also inspiring women by showing you can wear a tiara and be a scientist as well: I’m studying Meteorology and Neuroscience! I am also bilingual, studying Spanish. I can sing in 12 languages, so others no matter their native language can enjoy my music and hear a positive message. I want to travel the world and sing the songs people know and love from me…in their language and country! Let’s break that language barrier, uplift women, and be smile ambassadors!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the world’s first ever Princess Pop Star. For my original music, I make regal elegant electro pop, and for my covers, I put a unique spin on songs you know and love! I’ll even sometimes sing WITH the original artist as a duet, or add new lyrics/melodies. I put my entire soul and heart into every word I sing, and I always sing with a smile, having fun while I record.

I am extremely proud of my own devotion. I’m only 22 years old, and I’m an unsigned indie artist: a one girl show! I manage, promote, create all content, and finances everything myself. My work schedule is 8-12 hours a day.

I’ve trained my voice and technique for 13 years, as well as studying music theory at the University of Miami Frost School of Music at age 14. I then enrolled in college at the age of 15 to further study music theory and train my voice classically with opera. I’ve been trained in musical theatre for 13 years as well, and have performed in over 20 shows, sometimes performing multiple productions at once. I also won the Texas Teen Talent competition at age 14. I have been producing my own music for 9 years, mixing music for 8 years, and writing lyrics for 10 years.

Following your biggest dream is never easy, it always has ups and downs. It takes a lot of sacrifices, rejection, late nights, and pushing through to make success. I keep pressing on because I know I was born for this. Since I was very young, I’ve known this was my path. I will never stop until I’ve made every single person smile. The biggest lesson I learned so far was to stop thinking about others’ opinions. Once you realize that they really aren’t thinking about you at the end of the day, it’s pure freedom.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love going to parks in The Woodlands, along with walking the nature trails. Swimming at the Y is also a fantastic fun workout: I workout there for my endurance training. I personally love going to church when no one is there so I can meditate and pray in silence.
