We had the good fortune of connecting with Mary Ryan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mary, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I hope I am making a difference in the lives of the animals who have no voices the dumped and abandoned pets who are trying to live on the streets, If everyone just does one thing to help, it will make a difference you can foster or adopt. please spay and neuter your pets. Every service I provide a part goes back into rescue. Let’s all work together, and if you can’t help that’s okay just, please do no harm.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I do Conroe Pet Sitting, so many people ask, “What is a pet sitter?’ A pet sitter is a person who comes to your home to provide care for your pets while the owner is away. I will feed and provide fresh water, companionship, exercise, clean up any accidents. I can administer medication and injections. I am certified in pet safety and certified in Pet C.P.R.I have insurance and licensed in the state of Texas. this summer I took classes in pet massage and pet nail trimming I received certificates in both it was a lot of fun and interesting. I will bring any mail and packages, adjust blinds and lights, my priority is monitoring your pet’s health and safety.
My business has been and is a challenge, I’m a very shy person, and it has defiantly taken me out of my comfort zone ! This service is very personal you are in a client home, responsible for their pets and keeping a eye on their home. I keep in close contact with my pet families sending as many updates as they would like and being available to help with any surprises. I
once had a very young child {4 or 5 ] write me a note about her dogs and to say thank-you for taking care of them while they were away. It really showed me how important this role is. There is always so much to learn and most of the time it is a blast, I always say I have the best job ever and the best clients ever.
I love rescue I have been volunteering most of my adult life with shelters and rescues, a part of every service I provide goes into rescue. Please Spay and Neuter your pets .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is SO much to do in this area we have the Woodlands and the Lake. Houston is right down 45 . Old Town Spring is really beautiful, and spectacular at Christmas time. While my sister from Utah was visiting Conroe, we tracked down the Bonnie and Clyde bridge (what a story), One of the storms has washed it away in the last few years. My Dad was a big Railroad buff. The trains are a big part of Conroe’s rich history.
