Hi Melissa A., how do you think about risk?
I believe if we are not taking risks, we are not growing and expanding our true purpose and potential. All success stems from risk—without it, there is no reward. When I took the leap of faith to partner with Geron Fuller, Business Partner and Team Lead of Label Group, it was a defining moment in my career. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and into an opportunity that was filled with uncertainty, but also incredible possibility. This risk has challenged me, pushed me past my boundaries, and has led to some of the most rewarding experiences and growth I’ve had professionally. It reaffirmed that risk isn’t something to fear—it’s something to embrace when aligned with your vision and core values.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Kick off the weekend with bold flavors and festive energy touching down in the HTX—our first stop is Pappasito’s for their legendary fajitas and refreshing margaritas. From there, we head to Eight Row Flint and McIntyre’s in the Heights for a lively mix of craft cocktails and great vibes. The night wraps up at Sneak’s HTX, a local favorite known for its electric and chill atmosphere.

No Houston weekend is complete without brunch. Toulouse Café sets the perfect tone with live music on the patio and a French-inspired menu that always hits the spot. Whether you’re hopping between foodie havens, diving into immersive experiences, or sipping your way through the city’s most stylish speakeasies, Houston delivers a weekend that’s anything but ordinary.

I’d like to give a special shoutout to my business partner and team lead, Geron Fuller. Walking this journey alongside you has been an incredible, growing experience—your leadership and mentorship have made a lasting impact on me.
