We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelynne McCarter- Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelynne, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Keep going. A lot of times we let fear paralyze our movement. As a business owner you have to be comfortable with not always having every answer. Tap into your resources, when you don’t know admit it and seek guidance and don’t allow yourself to get stuck. If you find yourself stuck keep going until you propel forward.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our HR firm MKK Bell Consulting is an HR company that walks hand and hand with our clients. While we set up highly functional systems, we make sure the human touch isn’t lost. When needed, our clients can talk and have a dedicated HR Consultant assigned to their company walk them through their unique situations. We round and visit the clients we serve and build long lasting relationships with them and their staff.  It’s like having an HR team without incurring the full cost of one.  That’s our secret sauce. We are effective and affordable!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay this is easy being that I am also a boutique owner. Our VERY first stop would be the Slay Suite. Our boutique caters to plus size women while offering a private shopping experience. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God and my family are the backbones to my business. My family physically and mentally supports every effort relating to growing and sustaining my business. I am on what I call a faith journey. The things I’m doing are incredibly scary and when I find myself complacent, I make sure I jump back in, full of faith and belief that ALL things are possible through hard work and faith.
