We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikole Montgomery and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mikole, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think most of us associate “giving up” as being very negative. We always hear motivational stories about people who never gave up and after several ups and downs finally made it. This is where having clear goals comes into play. Whenever your goals aren’t being met, a pivot may be necessary. We should all strive to keep pursuing goals and be open to the journey. At times the pursuit may not look like what we had in mind and that’s ok.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am passionate about gift giving. Showing appreciation and love doesn’t have to be a grand gesture to make a grand impression. I know how much joy can be be found in small things and I want to share my gifts with as many people as possible. Nothing worth having is easy. I’m still learning how to navigate the new and ever changing challenges being a mompreneur presents. I want the world to know that even in our hustle and bustle culture there is plenty of joy to be found. Don’t discount how saying thank you or adding a cute bauble to your collection can brighten up your day and those around you.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Just to be clear, wherever I am is the best time ever and I like to stay home where I keep my wine and snacks. Also, my friends and I all have kids, which you can tell by my popular hang out spots. I would definitely go to costco to stock up before her arrival. At home games: Cards against Humanity Spoons Jenga Dominoes Food: Breakfast Klub Power Center Food Truck Park Crumbville TX Bakery Franks Pizza J&J Seafood Central Market or HEB when they are giving out samples Shopping: Blck Market Houston The Gite Gallery Hangout: Hermann Park Smither Park Levy Park Discovery Green Froberg Farm I’ve never been but I’d like to go to the new drive in theatre – Space City Shows
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out Ella Russell (Crumbville TX Bakery) I met her several years ago, right before she opened her brick and mortar. She has always been encouraging and supportive in my business from the moment I met her. I love her because she always tells me what I need to hear whether in person or through her social media pages. It also goes without saying that she gives the best hugs.
