Meet Miss Q | Wig Designer and Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miss Q and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miss, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about the hair industry that outsiders might not know is the level of customization that goes into creating high-quality wigs and hairpieces. For instance, when making a wig, each strand of hair is often hand-tied to a lace base, which allows for a natural look and feel. This process can be incredibly time-consuming and requires a high level of skill. Even synthetic wigs can be incredibly realistic these days, thanks to advancements in fiber technology and styling techniques. It’s fascinating to see how much detail and craftsmanship goes into these pieces!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
“I’m thrilled to share the story of Beautiful Rebel Hair, a venture that has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life since its inception in 2015. What sets us apart is our commitment to not only delivering exceptional hair styling services using the latest techniques, but also empowering our clients with knowledge about our proprietary product line.
One of the proudest moments of my career was launching Beautiful Rebel Hair University in 2022, which offers comprehensive wig education courses both online and in-person across the US. Our courses are designed to equip aspiring beauty professionals with the tools and expertise they need to succeed, including products, tool kits, and e-books.
Building Beautiful Rebel Hair to this point hasn’t been without its challenges, but the journey has been worth it. A key lesson I’ve learned along the way is the importance of laying a solid foundation and having a clear business plan. Registering my business with the state has proven to be a game-changer, offering valuable perks that have supported my growth. I’m committed to continuous learning and staying ahead in the industry, always looking for ways to innovate and improve.”
