We had the good fortune of connecting with Mo City Menis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mo City, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always been fairly close to the sport of boxing, so I chose to start a boxing channel on YouTube.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This was not an easy process. I was never a camera guy but I had to learn how to edit visuals. Developing relationships throughout many boxing gyms is also something that develops overtime. What makes my channel unique is, I dont push my opinion, I only push the fighters and coaches who make the sport progress.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would get breakfast at the “Breakfast Klub”. I would go to one of the many boxing gyms and watch some boxing for a minute. I always go by half priced book stores and check out vintage books or vinyls. A good meal at “Season 52” then a couple cigars at “Emits” would end the evening.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out all the fighters who put their life on the line for our entertainment.
